We work closely with New York’s credit allocating agencies - Division of Homes and Community Renewal (HCR), NYS Housing Finance Agency (HFA), NYC Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD), as well as with the Office of Mental Health (OMH), Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance (OTDA), Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS), and Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) Syndicators.

... is a Managing Member of CSD Housing and is an attorney with the Law Firm of Barclay & Damon. As Managing Member, Mr. Dehmler is responsible for the day-to-day operation of CSD Housing and the implementation of all Supportive and Affordable Housing Initiatives. Mr. Dehmler received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the State University of New York, College at Oswego and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Buffalo.
Prior to forming CSD Housing, LLC, Mr. Dehmler was the President of Christa Construction, LLC from 2005 through 2015 and a Construction and Surety attorney with the Law Firm of Ernstrom & Dreste, LLP from 1995 until joining Christa Construction, LLC in 2002. Mr. Dehmler’s varied professional experience has allowed him to participate in all aspects of Supportive Housing Development including land use and approvals, program design, building design and construction as well as Project financing.
... is the Director of Program Development at CSD Housing. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from Syracuse University. Mr. Newman was the Office of Mental Health’s (OMH) Director of Housing Development and Support for the last 18 of his 34 years with the New York State government, Mr. Newman managed a community residential system consisting of over 34,000 units for persons recovering from serious mental illness, and a development pipeline of over 8,000 units. Mr. Newman oversaw OMH’s low income housing tax credit program and worked with not-for-profit developers.
Mr. Newman was the primary liaison with New York’s credit allocating agencies (Division of Housing and Community Renewal, Housing Finance Agency, NYC Department of Housing Preservation and Development) as well as with the Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance and the Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services. Mr. Newman also represented OMH on the board of the Homeless Housing and Assistance Corporation.
... is a Managing Member of CSD Housing. In this position, Ms. Curtis is responsible for preparing pro forma financial statements, identifying funding sources and various other development tasks. Ms. Curtis received a Bachelor of Science Degree from Ithaca College and her Masters of Business Administration from Syracuse University. She also holds a Certificate of Public Accounting from NY State.
Prior to joining CSD Housing, Ms. Curtis was the SVP and Chief Accounting Officer at GateHouse Media where she oversaw all accounting/finance activities for the public company with $1.3 billion of annual revenue. Additionally, Ms. Curtis has extensive financial experience from her roles as a Senior Manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers and worked with several non-profit clients as an Audit Senior at the Bonadio Group. Curtis is an active member in her community, having volunteered on non-profit boards and town/school advisory groups.
... is the Manager of Finance & Project Development for CSD Housing.Housing. In this position, Mrs. Messner is responsible for assisting with pro forma financial statements, funding applications and various other project management tasks. Mrs. Messner received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from St. John Fisher College in Rochester, NY.
Prior to joining CSD Housing, she was the Financial Reporting Manager at GateHouse Media where she performed several technical accounting activities and prepared and filed financial
reports with the SEC for the public company.
… is the Director of Real Estate Development of CSD Housing. In this position, Mr. Cain is responsible for complementing and expanding the firm’s development and consulting activities across the state and into new expansion markets. Bringing extensive experience in housing development and demonstrating expertise in real estate finance, Mr. Cain works on site selection, leading due diligence activities, securing entitlements, closing on all financing, overseeing construction, and coordinating with marketing and leasing operations for both CSD and its clients. Prior to joining CSD, he worked for two large regional developers, PathStone Corporation and Dakota Partners, where over the past decade he played a critical role in managing a pipeline of projects totaling over $580 million in project costs throughout the development life cycle.
Mr. Cain received a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Liberal Arts from Alfred University, a MBA from the University of Rochester, professional certifications in Funding and Finance and Community Economic Development from NeighborWorks Training Institute, a Land Use Decision Making Certificate, and is a certified LEED Green Associate™. Additionally, he is a board member of NYSAFAH 2G and board member of Innova Girls Academy among other community-based commitments.
... is the Development Director for CSD Housing. In this position, Mr. McClary is responsible for assisting clients throughout the housing development process from site selection through lease-up. Mr. McClary is also responsible for business development activities throughout NYS. Mr. McClary received a Bachelor of Science Degree from Cornell University and his Masters of Business Administration from Duke University.
Prior to joining CSD Housing, Mr. McClary worked in business development and partnership management roles at multiple high technology companies. Mr. McClary is on the board at the Landmark Society of Western New York and PathStone Enterprise Center (PECI). He also is a member of the Urban Land Institute.
